Wendy’s Story

My story goes back to 2006 when I created a unique travel business from scratch when my little boy fell into an unenclosed swimming pool. We were the lucky ones, we got him out safely but I wanted to solve the problem for others.

What followed was a business which, by 2019 had grown to 8-figure revenue, had thousands of customers and a team of 35.

Success…
The success in my business was in identifying a valuable niche within a competitive market place and then creating a strategy and a compelling, engaging and commercial consumer brand to address it. I then paired this with unique differentiated product resulting in control over commercials, channels and driving both engagement and lifetime value.

Behind the scenes…
I developed a strong team culture based around being a ‘Business of Impact’, recruited the best people I could find and developed systems and processes that built the crucial element of trust within the culture.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the work that I did on the team and culture was one of the single most important strategic moves I made towards achieving momentum that drove a 65% annual increase in bookings in 2019 and £2.5million in revenue in just one month.

Failure…
Covid dealt a bitter blow to the travel industry and resulted in the closure of the business. I can’t deny that the last 3 years have been as tough as hell but I’ve survived and learnt plenty along the way.

Key Issues in the £1m to £10m phase…
Today, I’m privileged to work with so many different types of business from travel and vets to
coach companies, fintech to edtech. I’ve identified the key issues businesses in the phase
between £1m and £10million in revenue and have developed a suite of easy to access ‘products’
so that you can get going quickly to solve the issues you face and to start to reduce the stress in
your life.

I’ve realised that it is in supporting the courageous souls who choose to navigate this exciting
but oftentimes lonely and stressful entrepreneurial route that makes my heart sing.

You don’t need to do this journey alone, it’s a path that has been trodden before, you just need
to ask!
